Virtuoso Brazilian guitarist Grammy Nominee Diego Figueiredo in a last minute visit to the area, will pass through Pittsburgh, bringing his heartfelt mesmerizing concert to James Simon's studio.
GRAMMY nominated guitarist Diego Figueiredo is a virtuoso with a joyful feeling that will leave you amazed and happy. His fusion of American Jazz and many forms of traditional Brazilian music, is excitingly innovative, modern, and wild!
Diego Figueiredo is one of the greatest guitarists Ive seen in my whole life. The world needs to listen to his music.

Diego has recorded and performed with so many big names, including Gilberto Gil, João Bosco, Roberto Menescal, Toquinho, Belchior, Fafá de Belém, Angela Maria, Toninho Horta, Larry Coryell, Ken Peplowski, Lewis Nash, John Clayton, Cyrille Aimée and many others
Opening for Diego will be the wonderful Moises Borges - a gifted guitarist and vocalist born in Bahia, Brazil, He grew up experimenting with rhythms such as bolero, baiao, xote, afoxe, frevo, forro, and especially Samba and Bossa Nova which are basic to his performances, his soothing voice and charm make for a wonderful evening of entertainment for all lovers of Brazilian Jazz.
