A Restoration Era Macbeth
We are thrilled to have put together an amazing creative team to offer our audiences this Restoration Era entertainment. Conducted by harpsichordist, Ian Watson, we are also thrilled that director Kirsten Z. Cairns will stage our actors, dancers and singers in this special performance of the incidental theater music from Macbeth, with music by John Eccles, Matthew Locke, and Henry Purcell. Our original script is written by Laurence Senelick, with some of Shakespeares most famous scenes left intact for our audiences to enjoy. Our performance features members from Seven Times Salt, including founding member Daniel Meyers, who will perform traditional Scottish and Scottish inspired music from the same period. Our production will feature audience favorite, actor Benjamin Evett, joined by Natalya Baldyga, who will perform scenes from both Davenant and Shakespeares Macbeth. If that is not enough, there could very well be some floating daggers and singing witches, and our audience will also be treated to some of the rarely heard theatrical music of Matthew Locke. Dont miss it!!
