at Roedde House
Chase the winter blues away with an afternoon of music in the company of Vancouver's top jazz musicians and singers!
From James Danderfer to Jodi Proznick, Miles Black, Jennifer Scott and René Worst, many incredible Canadian jazz artists jumped at the chance to play intimate concerts in the heart of our Victorian house this year. Our 2013 gamble to hold a monthly jazz series in our music parlour proved to be a resounding success. The generous support of the McGrane Pearson Endowment Fund ensured that we were able to run this concert series from the very beginning and bring top quality acts to Roedde House at affordable prices for our guests.
Fuelled by your compliments and support, we have decided to keep this musical endeavour going into 2014. As a New Year's resolution, we are hoping to offer fair professional fees to each performer, in place of fluctuating door proceeds and we need your help to help underwrite these talented musician's fees.
To this end, we will be holding an all-star afternoon concert on Saturday January 25th, 2014, at 3PM, featuring some of your favourite 2013 performers, as well as new artists scheduled for 2014. Tea, cake and sweets will be served in our cozy parlour and dining room, while these compelling jazz musicians mingle and play throughout the afternoon. We invite you to become a supporter of this exciting project. A modest donation can make an enormous difference to our small series. We hope you will be able to join us for a delightful and relaxed afternoon of music and sharing.
Tickets for this special event are $30 per person, tax deductible.

Roedde House welcomes back Triology, the James Danderfer Trio and the Ben Henriques Trio and is proud to introduce exciting new performers such as Karin Plato, François Houle and Jaclyn Guillou. This will be a year to remember for jazz lovers. Stay tuned in early 2014 as we reveal the rest of our calendar!
Concerts take place on the second Thursday of each month at 7PM. Six-ticket passes and season passes are available for sale at the museum and on www.brownpapertickets.com
Artist fees are covered by the generosity of our supporters so that tickets can be made available at the affordable cost of $12.
A contribution of $5,000 underwrites most of the season.
Contributions of $1,000+ provide support for multiple concerts.
Contributions of $300-$500 cover the cost of artist fees for one concert.
Contributions of $50+ are eligible for a tax receipt.
All contributions are greatly appreciated!
