Powder Keg Cup | March 2022

The Powder Keg Cup, Eaglecrests after-hours uphill-downhill race series, is back! We will be doing a single-race format this year, so mark your calendars for Saturday, March 19! All proceeds will benefit the Coastal Alaska Avalanche Center.

Date: March 19 near the base of Hooter chairlift
Check-in: 4:00 - 4:30 PM
Start time: 4:30 PM
Entry fee: $15
Route: Get to the top of Ptarmigan (and back) intact! You may take whichever route you choose. Remember that Steep Chutes is uncontrolled avalanche terrain outside operating hours.
Required Gear: Beacon, Probe, Shovel

There will be mens and womens divisions for ski and split-board. Fastest times win! Prizes donated by Foggy Mountain Shop, Coppa, and Wild Oven.

Eaglecrest is considered backcountry terrain when not operating, and Ski Patrol services are unavailable. Know Before You Go! Racers must carry an avalanche beacon, shovel, and probe. Participation is at your own risk.
