What happens when you mix the brilliant wit of Noel Coward with the intricate plotting of Agatha Christie? Set during a weekend in an English country manor in 1932, 'Death by Design' is a delightful and mysterious 'mash up' of two of the greatest English writers of all time.
Edward Bennett, a playwright, and his wife Sorel Bennett, an actress, flee London and head to Cookham after a disastrous opening night. But various guests arrive unexpectedly - a conservative politician, a fiery socialist, a nearsighted ingenue, a zany modern dancer ~ each with a long-held secret. When one of the guests is murdered, it's left to Bridget, the feisty Irish maid with a macabre interest in homicide, to solve the crime.

HERE IS OUR COVID 19 POLICY
COVID 19 HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
These precautions have been put in place for the health and safety of the
MEG and Brumder guests and staff who may be or have family members
who are immunocompromised or have young children at home
who cannot yet be vaccinated.
All guests must provide proof of full vaccination or a negative
covid test result within 72 hours of attending a performance.
Everyone is required to wear a mask at all times while indoors,
regardless of vaccination status.
Restrooms for hand washing, hand sanitizer, and extra masks will
be made available on site.
If you are feeling ill we ask that you please attend a performance
later in the run when they are well. We will happily reschedule to
another performance when seats are available and will provide
a refund with proof of positive covid-19 diagnosis only.
We have placed an air purifier in the theater space which
remains running at all times.
