Brockus:RED presents 2 pieces from their repertoire: Famine Solos (excerpt from Quest) Choreographed by Deborah Brockus Danced by Holly Lenard, Robyn O'Dell, and Laura Ann Smyth "Quest is a full length work looks at why mankind moves around the world. Famine Solos is from the second section which deals with people moving to get away. From famine, war, loss of love, grief." and Conflict/Resolved Choreographed by Ken A. Morris Danced by Duron Lemar and Joniece Boykis "A young couple tackle a myriad of obstacles dealing with their first major disagreement."
Invertigo Dance Theatre presents: Waiting At Home For The Witches Choreographed by Laura Karlin, in collaboration with the dancers. Danced by Zsolt Banki, Chris Smith, and Cody Wilbourn "The husbands of Macbeth's Weird Sisters are stuck at home, waiting for their wives and getting into toil and trouble of their own."
Luminario Ballet presents: Winterreise Choreographed by Judith FLEX Helle, 2011, Commissioned by Le Salon de Musique Danced by AJ Abrams & Sadie Black 1. Fruehlingstraum (Spring Fever Dream) 2. Letzte Hoffnung (Last Hope) 3. Der Leierman (Hurdy Gurdy Man) "In the coldest winter ever experienced on record in Germany, a young man feels the passion and savage rejection of a feverish first love. As he realizes he is losing his lover to a wealthy man, he drifts into insanity."
Michael Nickerson-Rossi Dance presents: Phoenix Choreographed by Michael Nickerson-Rossi Danced by Christopher Argodale, Emily Coruso, Allison Gomes, Joshua Romero, Kelly Todd, and Brooklynn Reeves "to rise from its ashes in the freshness of youth and live through another cycle of years: often an emblem of immortality or of re-born idealism or hope."

"Rosewood" "Soul Beginnings" "Emergence/HOPE") In Memory of Marie Cutrona (2008) & Shirley Marie Gitlin (2012) & Celebration of Noelle's Victories Choreographed by Noelle Andressen Danced by Noelle Andressen, Eva Josan, Sandy Luque, Jessica Mayogra, Brooklyn Merritt, Amani Minter, Daniela Shambaugh "There is inner beauty & strength that lays deep within that this ensemble of women discover about themselves as they travel through their journey dealing with cancer to find HOPE."
Join us for a very exciting evening of Dance Art & Multi-Media Dance Performance Festival. Presented at Diavolo Space downtown Los Angeles in the Brewery Arts Center appropriate for all ages. This festival sells-out every year thanks to our supporters like you.
This 8:00 pm presentation showcases established professional dance companies in the Los Angeles region. Support them as they present their newest and greatest works from their repertoire.
This 8pm Show in our Dance Festival is called: "Awakenings"
Please be aware there are two separate shows on the same date but different times with different artists. There is an earlier showcase at 2pm that includes emerging pre-pro and established artists called: "Beginnings"; hence the title of our festival: "AWAKENINGS & BEGINNINGS Dance Festival".

Parking: Ample parking in front of Diavolo and anywhere in the Brewery Arts parking lot.
Will Call: Once you arrive at Diavolo, please find the Will Call Desk outside to the left of the stairwell. Once you've checked in you may proceed inside and claim your seat.
Buying at the Door: If you're buying tickets at the door, please go to the Desk to the right of the stairwell. CASH ONLY.
Wait List: Should this event sell-out, please do come and place your name on our wait list. We will do our best to seat you. The wait list will be at the Wait List Desk outside to the right of the stairwell.
Seating: First come first served seating-not reserved. We advise that you arrive early. House opens at 7:30pm.
