Pre-Show Performance (1:30pm):
An exciting and moving presentation by Nicole McKenzie Improv Group. A film by Robin Bisio/Arna Bee. Enjoy live art and music before the 2:00pm show.
Join us for a very exciting afternoon of Dance Art, Movement & Multi-Media Dance Performance Festival. Presented at Diavolo Space downtown Los Angeles in the Brewery Arts Center appropriate for all ages. This festival sells-out every year thanks to our supporters like you.
This 2:00 pm presentation showcases a blend of emerging pre-professional artists and established choreographers in dance and performance companies from: Santa Barbara, North Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood, New York, Philadelphia, Pasadena, Glendale and more. Support them as they present their newest and greatest works from their repertoire.
This 2pm Show in our Dance Festival is called: "Beginnings"
Please be aware there are two separate shows on the same date but different times with different artists. There is a later show at 8pm that called: "Awakenings"; hence the title of our festival: "AWAKENINGS & BEGINNINGS Dance Festival".
A new extension of our festival includes an educational facet:
A special work by Michael Nickerson-Rossi, Artistic Director of Nickerson-Rossi Dance Theater! Michael is a master craftsman and has put an amazing piece on Noelle's alma mater: Moorpark College's Dance Department's dance program students. A very powerful piece that we are proud to showcase at this festival.
Parking:
Ample parking in front of Diavolo and anywhere in the Brewery Arts parking lot.
Will Call:
Once you arrive at Diavolo, please find the Will Call Desk outside to the left of the stairwell. Once you've checked in you may proceed inside and claim your seat.
Buying at the Door:
If you're buying tickets at the door, please go to the Desk to the right of the stairwell. CASH ONLY
Wait List:
Should this event sell-out, please do come and place your name on our wait list. We will do our best to seat you. The wait list will be at the Wait List Desk outside to the right of the stairwell.
Seating:
First come first served seating-not reserved. We advise that you arrive early. House opens at 1:00pm.
