Steinberg Fleezanis Fund world premiere
The third commission of the Steinberg Fleezanis Fund (SFF) will be heard on May 14, 2022 at 4:00, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 1200 Marquette Ave in Minneapolis, MN. The new work is by composer Jessica Meyer based on the poetry of the 13th century Persian poet Rumi entitled "Where You Love From". The other work on the program is the Brahms Piano Quartet in C minor op. 60. The performers include Stephen Yoakam, narrator, Jorja Fleezanis, violin, Jessica Meyer, viola, Anthony Ross, cello, Brian Mount, percussion, and Lydia Artymiw, piano. Anthony Ross is the principal cello of the Minnesota Orchestra. Brain Mount is principal percussion of the Minnesota Orchestra. Jorja Fleezanis was concertmaster of the Minnesota Orchestra and on the faculty at Indiana University. Lydia Artymiw is an acclaimed international pianist who has performed with Ross and Fleezanis often in the Twin Cities. .
