New Works Weekend 2022
MCT is proud to present for this year's New Works Weekend reading Eradicated, a new play by recent Cabrillo alum Drea Kato. Eradicated is a fascinating and intense exploration of the very-possible future where almost everything is available online, and the difference between physical and digital experiences begins to disappear.
Jeremy and Jeni were deeply in love until a tragic accident took Jeni's life. Jeremy is not prepared to let her go, so he buys a product that promises to digitally recreate Jeni and allow them to interact. There are surprising twists and turns in both the plot and Jeremy's relationship with his digital creation that will leave you pondering what is real.
The show has adult themes and language and sexual situations that make it not suitable for children.
The production is a reading without staging, which is intended to provide feedback to the author, who will be present for all three performances to get the audience's comments.
MASKS ARE REQUIRED WHILE IN THE THEATER.
