Marvin's Room
Marvin's Room is the touching, yet surprisingly humorous, story of Bessie who, in the midst of caring for her invalid father and disabled aunt, is diagnosed with leukemia. Hope arrives in the form of her estranged sister, Lee, and Lee's two teenaged sons, any of whom might be a potential bone marrow donor. An uncomfortable reunion slowly melts into reconciliation as Bessie, ever the caregiver, looks after everyone else's needs in spite of her own, forming a special bond with her troubled nephew Hank in the process.
