Comedy on Elm Street with Jimmy Dunn, Steve Bjork, more
Great comedy returns to the Elm Draught House Cinema, 35 Elm Street, Millbury on Saturday, February 26 with Jimmy Dunn, Steve Bjork, Andrew Della Volpe and Chris Cameron.
Showtime is 9:30. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door.
Jimmy Dunn is one of Boston's best comedians, headlining in theaters and clubs around New England, and appearing nationally as a writer, stand-up, and sitcom actor. He was a featured cast member on CBS' The McCarthys (playing the twin brother of Joe McIntyre), and most recently a writer for Loudermilk, now on Amazon Prime. Nationally, he has a stand-up comedy special on Amazon Prime called Two Boston Guys with fellow comedian Tony V., and the two also co-host a popular podcast called Two Boston Guys Whack up a Pie. Dunn has also done stand-up comedy on Conan and Letterman in addition to countless appearances in various roles on NESN and guest appearances on radio stations around New England. Hes also the founder and regular host for the Hampton Beach Comedy Festival, and has performed in major comedy festivals in the United States and Canada.
One of the best observational humorists in Boston, Stephen Bjork is known for his clean and funny style that makes him a favorite in theaters, corporate shows, and fundraisers. At one time, he worked cross-country as a headliner, performing at clubs such as The Improv in Las Vegas, Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, Hilarities in Orlando, Florida, Crackers in Indianapolis, Indiana, and several more. He's shared the stage with acts including Dane Cook, Steven Wright, Dom Irrerra, Dave Chappelle, Gilbert Gottfried, Joe Rogan, Dana Gould and Tommy Chong. He also once opened for the legendary musical group The Platters.
Andrew Della Volpe is a regular at comedy clubs and theaters around New England, and co-host (with Will Noonan) of the Soft Boys podcast. He got his start working as an intern at Sacha Baron Cohens Four by Two Films while studying government at Colby College and has never gone back to thoughts of a serious job. He performs on a near-nightly basis in and around Boston and has become one of the fastest rising talents in the city. Hes performed in the prestigious Hampton Beach Comedy Festival, at the Palace Theatre in Manchester (N.H.), at the legendary Nicks Comedy Stop, The Comedy Scene at Patriot Place and South Bostons Capo Supper Club.
Chris Cameron has worked at comedy clubs, fund-raisers and theaters around New England. He's been the runner-up in the Boynton's Comedy Contest in Manchester, N.H., and the Witch City Comedy Contest in Salem, Mass. He has shared the stage with top headliners including Juston McKinney, Mike McDonald, Paul Nardizzi and Paul D'Angelo.
