Patrick Score is a Metro-Detroit trumpet player and has been performing for over 15 years under the tradition of Black American Music. Score pays tribute to this tradition with his original music embodying a variety of inspirations from artists such as Clifford Brown, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan, Clark Terry, and Duke Ellington. Recently a graduate of the Masters Program at Michigan State University, Score has studied with some of the most prominent educators in the States working with Rodney Whitaker, Randy Napoleon, Michael Dease, and Etienne Charles in both small and large ensemble settings. Through diligent study and practice, Score is now making efforts to make his start in Michigans deeply enriched music environment.
