Lunch & Learn with the Virginia Fair Housing Office
Hoarding as a disability seems confusing. Many believe that individuals involved in hoarding, made the choice to live that way. Thant is far from the facts. You see, hoarding usually occurs when some individuals are unable to cope with trauma. That trauma may be beauce of rape, divorce, witnessing murder or some traumatic event, the loss of a loved one (especially a child), domestic abuse and many other painful events. Melissa will join us to share some personal experience via her presentation of How the Effects of Domestic Violence Can Trigger Hoarding! Bring your lunch, questions and concerns. Registration is available via BrownPaperTickets.com using keyword search DPOR. Please feel free to share. For questions or concerns, email: FHRegistration@dpor.virginia.gov.
