The tale of wayfaring songwriter Shay Martin Lovette is shaped by an enduring creative pursuit, an inseparable connection with the natural world, and a deep appreciation of the nonpareil musical voices of the past. Two years after his noteworthy debut, Swift Drifter, Lovette brings forth his sophomore record Scatter & Gather, a collection of songs that signal an undeniable shift in the gravity of his writing and arranging. Written mostly from a remote, creekside cabin, the songs reflect Lovette's role as a versatile harmonica-wielding, wordsmith, drifting between the formulas of folk, indie, and homestyle roots music.

The Smoky Dunes BIO
The Smoky Dunes are a local Wilmington duo comprised of guitarists Drew Walker and Marshall Brown. They have immersed themselves in the traditional styles of acoustic fingerpicking and flatpicking and call on tunes from the many musical tributaries of Appalachian folk music. Theyre sure to bring those high lonesome harmonies, flatpicking standards, and finger bustin' Travis tunes, but also offer original songs off their soon-to-be-released debut album. Theyve been playing around the port city for about two years now and continue to write, dig up old songs, and pick around the local bluegrass scene.
