Special 138th Wedding Anniversary Tour of the Cohen Bray House
The Cohen Bray House was completed in 1884. Alfred Henry Cohen married Emma Bray and they moved into the house created by both of their families as a wedding present. When you enter the front door you will be seeing the same furniture, wall coverings, pictures and objects that Emma and Alfred put into their new home 138 years ago.
Your time spent in this unique Oakland Historic Landmark will give you a glimpse of the 14 decades that one family spent in this unique house.

The Victorian Preservation Center of Oakland/ Cohen-Bray House and its historic garden, Oak Tree Farm, is a community resource for establishing and maintaining connections between the past and the present.
Warm clothing is encouraged. Please feel free to wear clothing from 1880-1980.any decade. Families are welcome. Children under 5 must be with an adult at all times. Please let us know if you have any questions. cohenbrayhouse@gmail.com.

No wheelchair access. There are 7 broad stairs that allow you access to the first floor where, if you cannot use the stairs to the second floor you will receive an in-depth tour of the first floor. Please let us know if you would prefer to stay on the 1st floor.
