Langtoun Jazz presents Ali Affleck's Auld Toon Stompers
Vocalist Ali Affleck brings a band of Scottish musicians with a programme paying homage to the story telling pioneers and archetypes of the hot roots of jazz and blues. Full lineup TBA
Join us for a musical jaunt through the heat of the southern states with a little New York tin pan alley thrown in for good measure.
Led by vivacious singer and early jazz historian Ali Affleck, the Auld Toon Stompers create the perfect balance of hot early jazz and feisty pre-war blues while they explore the vivacious songbooks of Victoria Spivey, Ma Rainey and Clarence Williams including some of the most bizarre songs of early jazz involving a character called Razor Jim!
The event will be set up cabaret style with tables so if you want to sit together with friends please book together.
You can bring your own dinks and nibbles as long as you also bring cups/glasses and utensils
Face coverings must be worn when entering and leaving the venue and during the performance when not eating or drinking
