WINEspiration Night - J.S. BACH Solo Cello Suites PAIRED with WINE!
Beloved and sought-after local cellist Lee Zimmerman will play sections from J.S. Bach Suites for the Solo Cello LIVE as we share five of White Raven's finest wines. See below for a brief outline of what to expect from this unique wine pairing experience!
Enjoy selected movements of Johan Sebastian Bachs famed Six Cello Suites with cellist Lee Zimmerman for an auditory glimpse into the dance music of the royal courts of seventeenth-century Europe. You might catch a premonition of the roots of contemporary pop, Celtic, and Rock and Roll while enjoying White Ravens cozy tasting room. Step far away from western Montana's cold winter nights and enjoy a Baroque celebration with Montanas best wines.
The five movements selected by cellist Lee Zimmerman illustrate the breadth of texture, color, and depth of emotion embodied in the suites as a whole. Specifically, you'll be treated to...the Minuet from Suite 1 / the Courante from Suite 3 / the Gigue (or jig) from Suite 2 / the Sarabande from Suite 5 / AND the Prelude to the 6th Suite. Additionally, Lee will play the Prelude to the 1st Suite, which is the most well-known of them all! *Each Suite is 4-6 minutes long and paired with a wine that compliments the piece. Join us for this distinctive pairing of music, wine, and education.
