Solas Festival 17 - 19th June 2022
Solas is back this year with a full size festival. Set in the beautiful Perthshire countryside, Solas Festival creates a generous, hospitable space in Scotland where the arts can be performed and enjoyed by all. The all-age, weekend-long celebration of music and the arts is designed to entertain, inspire and challenge.
Join us for music from Don Kipper, Stanley Odd, Kris Drever, Eliza Shaddad, Tinderbox Orchestra, Brass, Aye?, Mairi Campbell, Callum Easter, Dopesickfly, Iona Fyfe, the Glasgow African Balafon Orchestra, Debra Salem's 'In a Sma' Room', Ruby Gaines, Noushy 4tet, Lewis McLaughlin, Aref Ghorbani & Friends, plus the Awry Ceilidh Band!
We'll also have a wellbeing zone with many restorative workshops, poetry from Kathleen Jamie, Henry Bell, Pádraig Ó Tuama and more, comedy from Josie Long, storytelling from Jess Smith, Margaret Bennett and the Story Wagon, circus skills, puppet making and more.
Our programme also makes space for challenging debate with activists, writers and thinkers from across the political, cultural and religious spectrum. The festival offers a broad, inclusive, creative and entertaining programme for festival-goers of all ages in a safe environment; everyone is welcome.
Our 2022 festival theme is 'What's Next?'. As we re-emerge from the difficulties of the past two years, the theme expresses our desire to creatively explore and look ahead to a positive post-pandemic Scotland.
