The Best of Gilbert and Sullivan with Matthew Siveter
Sick of being told that classical music cant be fun, Matthew put together Killing Time with to allow the music he performs be taken seriously via comedy. Sound confusing? It is! In his show, Matthew will sing music that is not heard so frequently these days and combine them with humorous scenarios, tales and jokes to provide a high energy, witty and incredibly British event.
Matthew has performed the works of Gilbert and Sullivan for nigh on 12 years and has since toured with The National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company and originated the role of Tomos in short film, Byrd. Matthew studied at Royal Holloway University of London, and it was here that he learnt to hone his craft and provide tailored entertainment to audiences near and afar.
All set to a backdrop of hilarious photos and anecdotes from Matthews life, the show is certainly a spectacle on the side of wacky but what makes it so successful is that, at the heart of it, lies great singing and and an ability to convey songs that are so popular to audiences that never expected to enjoy them.
