YURI LIBERZON - CDZ Collegium Musica: Faces of the Guitar
YURI LIBERZON, Classical Guitar,

Classical Guitarist Yuri Liberzon is a rising star in the classical guitar world  Born in Russia, raised in Israel, Yuri has been described as "unquestionably an outstanding talent and certainly one of our very top guitarists" (Manuel Barrueco, Peabody Conservatory of Music). His program will consist of  his own published arrangements of Bach Violin Sonatas, works by Leo Brower, and a premier performance of works by Konstantin Vassiliev,  which he recently completed on the Naxos label.
These exciting new virtuosic works by Russian composer Konstantin Vassiliev. while thoroughly modern and appealing, containing a wonderful synthesis of classical, American Jazz, Russian folk music,

The newly restored Old Church at Madeline was built in 1911 in the heart of the Irvington community. With seating up to 200, the Old Church provides an intimate concert venue ideally suited to the acoustic classical guitar.

Yuri has made numerous appearances on radio and television appearances; i.e., Capital Public Radio of Sacramento, KUHF (NPR Houston), SUSF (San Francisco), WDR (German Television), and Kol HaMusica in Israel. It would be wonderful if Yuri could make an appearance on your February 3rd Thursday Live premier broadcast new works by Russian composer Konstantin Vassiliev, which Yuri just completed recording on the NAXOS label.
