Who is Virginia Man?
Are they your hometown rapper from the beach? Are they a singer/songwriter from the mountains? Are they the chef of your favorite restaurant in uptown, or your favorite tattoo artist downtown? Truth be told, Virginia Man is anyone. Virginia Man is everyone.
This Virginia Man is a 4-piece rock and roll band from Fredericksburg, VA that sings lyrics from the bottom of your heart in songs from your fondest memory. Comprised of Kristian Lietzan (vocalist/guitarist), Stephen Amoruso (bass), and Jacob Somerio (guitar), their music will make you feel like coffee and cigarettes while reading your favorite author at 7:30 in the morning, reminiscing on the 3-course meal you shared with the love of your life the previous evening, they're the silly geese, you always want a party, and they're good people that make music for good people, and that feels good.
Arts Fishing Club bio
Named one of NPR's 10 Nashville Bands to Add to Your Playlist, Arts Fishing Clubs music is rapidly gaining traction. Their sound has been described as a modern mixture of the Kings of Leon and The Grateful Dead. Songs are rooted in lyricism and spread a gamut of rock, folk, and indie music. They've shared stages with Lovely the Band, Max, Nappy Roots, The Eli Young Band, Hanson and have had showcases at notable festivals Mile of Music, and Summerfest.
For fans of: Mount Joy, Houndmouth, Caamp, Wild Rivers, Bon Iver, Wilderado
The name Arts Fishing Club is an homage to lead singer Christopher Kessenichs grandfathers (Colonel Arthur Kessenich & Arthur Schmidt). The name serves as a reminder to approach music in the way they taught us to fish: go out every day with the sincerest intention for success, casting out again and again despite the inevitable empty-handed reels. A successful day of fishing is not determined by what you end up with at the end of the day but rather the beauty of the action itself along with the presence of the moment in nature. Fishing, music, and life are about the adventure they take us on and the people we get to share it with.
