Found Object Group Study
Taylor Bibat leads a workshop in tabletop puppetry and letting found objects inspire devised work. Emphasis on collaboration, puppetry fundamentals, specificity of movement, and material exploration. Please bring a few random objects (cups, light bulbs, rocks, clothing, books, silverware, brooms, etc).
Recommended for ages 13+
Puppeteer and Producer, Taylor Bibat is a Oberlin College Alum and Eugene O'Neill National Puppetry Conference Alum, based in Los Angeles. Taylor has puppeteered on stage with companies such as Blair Thomas and Company, Redmoon Theater, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, as well as at slams across the country. Production credits include 1st ADing for directors Sam Koji Hale, Christine Papalexis, and Jonathan Langager; and producing for Fonco Studios and Nexus Studios, and curating for Chicago's Nasty, Brutish & Short: A Puppet Cabaret. She is currently the Festival Coordinator and Education Coordinator for the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival taking place in January 2021. www.taylorbibat.com
