How to describe Karen Williams comedy? Well, she's a woman. She's African American. She's a Mom. She's queer. She's calm, cool, and collected and never gets angry or rants or raves about anything. Wait, no, go back. She's a woman...
Karen Williams has been performing stand-up since Sonny broke up with Cher (that was the mid-eighties right?) and has been known to go on a tear for hours at a time. They're funny tears, which lead to tears, but tears nonetheless.
ELVIRA KURT
You know ELVIRA KURT from her many appearances on (things) and her stand up comedy special (whatever that was called) and probably mostly for her hilarious performances onstage at (Lesbian Event Here). She is an internationally known comedian of immense talent who will make you laugh really really hard, she's played in clubs across North America and to huge crowds, and she is nothing short of brilliantly funny and entertaining. And that is what really counts. (Thanks to Jane Ford for writing this funny bio for the last show cuz we didn't have one handy).
