Wintersong
The Elias Church Center for Performing Arts will present an engaging performance of music and word fittingly upon December 21st 2013 the Winter Solstice, at 7PM in Mifflinburg PA. Created expressly to be the last show of our inaugural season, Wintersong: A Celebration of the Season of Winter, turns upon the range of emotions present in the revelries of the season. Tunes familiar and new will be performed by a quartet of gifted performers including Dr. JoAnne F Henry vocalist, Rolf Sturm guitar, originally from Lewisburg now based in the NYC area, Jonathan Edwards percussion, now residing in Boston and Andy Seal bass and vocals also from Lewisburg. Dr. Henry has crafted a thoughtful evening of word and music for our intimate space, including brief insights on the history of our celebrations marking Winter, as well as reflections upon our hope that light will indeed return into all our lives.
