Escape the blustery January weather and join Beacon Theatre Productions, the theatre company devoted to presenting historical drama with a fresh perspective, as they present The Fire Within.
This event features two One Act plays, "Mary Todd Lincoln: The Woman You Thought You Knew" and "Mr. President, I'm Frederick Douglass", which shed light on the humanity and personal insights of three great historical figures.
The performance also features live music from the era performed by Fran Carroll. A talk back will follow each performance -- a wonderful time to ask questions and provide your own insights about Lincoln's legacy and Mary Todd's unjustly scrutinized life.
