Tayla Lynn with Eric Tingstad
Tayla Lynn accompanied by Grammy Award winner Eric Tingstad in concert in the intimate Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater in Snohomish, Washington.
Tayla Lynn is a southern girl who grew up in the heart of Tennessee, and her country bloodlines are undeniable. Her grandmother is country-music legend, Loretta Lynn, and her father, Ernie, sang and played guitar in Loretta Lynn's band. As Lynn's parents divorced before she was born, she grew up rambling between her mother's various iterations of marriage, and her father's touring schedule. "I can't remember a time that I wasn't in the wings in some town somewhere, watchin my memaw and my daddy on stage" recalls Tayla Lynn. She was 4 or 5 the first time she remembers her memaw taking her on stage. Lynn recounts "I started singing as soon as I opened my mouth." As a result of nature and nurture, performing is in her blood and singing is one of the most natural and happy activities in her life.
Tayla has toured with Loretta, opening her shows. It was there she was discovered and given a record deal with her trio 'Stealing Angels', The girls toured the country singing in front of thousands, sang for our troops in Iraq/Kuwait and made a record with Paul Worley, who produced-Dixie Chicks, Lady A, Sara Evans, The Band Perry etc..- Their songs "He Better Be Dead and Paper Heart have both made Billboard chart and the video was played on CMT and GAC.
Thanks to the connections Tayla made, she has had opportunities to work with some of the most brilliant songwriters and producers in Nashville. The combination of Lynn's pure, natural vocal talent, and her innate knack for crafting a story add up to the makings of a star.
Now that Lynn has settled happily into marriage and has recently given birth to a son, Tru Diamon, her priorities have changed. She is embracing her roots and is happy to write music reflecting her newfound contentment. She is working on her first solo album and tourin' all over the country doin' what she does best.
