The 10th Tennessee Equality Project Gumbo Contest will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 4:30 to 7 PM at the Memphis Museum of Science and History (MoSH - formerly the Pink Palace Museum) in Memphis, Tennessee!
TEP's annual celebration brings together teams from near and far to compete for the best gumbo in Memphis. Gumbo contestants will be awarded prizes by an appointed panel of judges and by individual tasters like you in the Peoples Choice competition.
TEP's annual gumbo competition draws large crowds who support the LGBTQ community of the Mid-South and draws many public and elected officials. Your support of this event helps to support LGBTQ advocacy efforts in Tennessee.
Online ticket sales available through 6:00 PM CDT on September 24th, 2022. After this date, all tickets must be purchased at the door. Admission to the gumbo contest includes admission to the Rise Up! and Memphis Proud exhibits - no food or drink is allowed in the exhibit spaces.
TICKET DESCRIPTIONS:
Gumbo Team Registration is $30 and includes three admission tickets to the event. (Note that the price listed below is $10 @ quantity of 3 = $30; this setup in the system ensures that all teams each get three tickets.) Purchaser will be required to submit team information and agree to contest rules. Teams may purchase registration for only one gumbo. All registrations (including duplicate or additional registrations) are non-refundable and will be considered a donation to TEP.

General Admission (21 & over) $35 - Includes gumbo tasting, voting in the People's Choice Competition, live music, general seating, and beer voucher.
General Admission (under 21) $15 - Includes gumbo tasting, voting in the People's Choice Competition, general seating, and live music.
*Limited availability!* VIP TABLE $400.00 (8 seats @ $50.00 each) - Includes 8 gumbo tasting tickets, voting in the People's Choice Competition, live music, reserved seating for 8, and 8 beer vouchers. Purchasers will compete for best decorated table at the contest. Arrive by 3:30 PM before the event to decorate your table. VIP tickets available until supplies last.

ATTENTION ALL TICKET HOLDERS: The small stub of your ticket is the ballot to vote for your favorite gumbo in the People's Choice Competition. Save your stub to place in the ballot bag of your favorite gumbo team by 6 PM on the day of the event.
