From deep in the heart of France terroir wine tasting and discussion with Author Robert Camuto at 18 Reasons San Francisco-- Feb. 19 (Thursday) 7-9 p.m. Special evening featuring wines from Corkscrewed with book discussion and signing at 18 Reasons. Robert Camuto, author of the highly-acclaimed new book Corkscrewed: Adventures in the New French Wine Country discusses the state of French terroirs while leading an exciting tasting of regional French wines, featuring Nicholas Joly from Savennieres, Leon Barral from Faugeres, and Jean-Michel Stephan from Cote Rotie. An American journalist, Robert moved to France with his family eight years agoembarking on a journey that would change everything he believed about wine. Corkscrewedwhich has been praised by sources from the New York Times to the Wine Spectator and Le Figaro and was recently named Best Book (of 2008) on French Wines is a literary chronicle that follows Camuto as he harvests grapes in Alsace, learns about wine and bombs in Corsica, and eats and drinks his way through the worlds greatest bacchanalia in Burgundy.
