Terra Marin presents West Side Story
The students of Terra Marin are eager to present West Side Story'' to our school community. A timeless classic born from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, the story follows a turf war between two rival gangs in the bitter streets of 1950s New York City. Inside the dueling chaos of culture, pride and teenagehood, two star crossed lovers find themselves destined for tragedy.
In a time when the world seems so divided, its truly an honor to explore the themes of this production with our students. Racial tension, immigration, youth, class, violence, and love all play a vital role in the telling of this story, and every day we discover new perspectives in these age-old themes.
