Journey To A Dream
To celebrate Black History Month and honor the heroic journey of African-Americans from the slave ship to the White House, Reading Community Players is proud to present "Journey To A Dream."

Enhanced by multimedia designed and executed by Denise Smaglinski and Gary Williams, the production features a variety of spirituals and message songs sung by Lillie Foster, well-known Reading area soprano; the poetry of several African-American writers recited by John Foster, and the inspirational prose of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and others also delivered by Mr. Foster. Mr. Karlson appears in pivotal scenes as well.
Journey To A Dream will be performed on Friday, February 20 and Saturday, February 21 at 8 PM and on Sunday, February 22 at 3 PM. The performances will be held in the WCR Center for the Arts at 140 North Fifth Street in Reading.
