Leche De Tigre New Years Eve Masquerade Ball
Masquerade into the New Year with Leche De Tigre New Year's Eve 2013 at the Historic Aloha Theatre The Big Island's Own Latin Gypsy Funk Band to Ring in the New Year in Masked Style
KAILUA KONA, HI Grab your mask and dance your way into the New Year with Leche De Tigre's New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball Tuesday, December 31st doors open at 8:30pm in the historic Aloha Theatre. This year's theme encourages the audience to get creative and add a little fantasy to the night by wearing a mask. What better way to start the year than surrounded by mysterious masks, while being serenaded by the worldly sounds of Leche De Tigre. To add even more excitement to the evening, the Big Island's Latin Gypsy Funk band is upping the ante this year with one thousand (biodegradable) balloons set to drop at midnight.
Stemming from a weekly acoustic jam session at local Kona restaurant, this unique group draws from influences including Django Reinhart, Santana, Jerry Garcia and Sade, creating a genre of its own that always brings its audience to their feet.
Tickets to the Aloha Theater show are $25 in advance can be found at LDT Band.com, Alohatheater.com, Music Exchange in Kona, and Kiernan's Music. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $35. Doors open at 8:30pm. Refreshments will be available.
