PICNIC DE LIBROS at the Koubek Center
Picnic de Libros is a bilingual, family day program featuring storytelling, theatre, music, arts and crafts, dance, and picnic baskets full of books, free to keep. The event is free and its main goal is to expose kids to the richness and variety of the cultural traditions in our diverse community. These gatherings will tickle childrens curiosity while using the power of stories to bring people together, promoting literacy, and nurturing the next generation of engaged world citizens. We want to encourage kids to read and develop a passion for books and literature. Culminating each day, we will serve a special picnic with blankets on the lawn and baskets full of books, in both Spanish and English, to take home. Picnic de Libros is produced by the Koubek Center and Fundacion Cuatrogatos, with the support of Miami Book Fair.
With stories, music and poetry, Picnic de Libros returns to the Koubek Center in person! October 23rd from 2 to 5 pm
Picnic de Libros is a multidisciplinary, bilingual and free event that seeks to bring children closer to literature and the arts, through stories, poems, crafts, riddles and music. There will also be picnic baskets full of books , to read and enjoy, that children can keep.
The next Picnic will feature:
Venezuelan actor and storyteller Leonardo van Schermbeek.
Puppet crafts workshop taught by Colombian actress Danly Arango.
Acrobatics shows by the local circus company Les Ailes du Desir Foundation.
Music from the Venezuelan group Los Wizzards.

¡Con cuentos, música y poesía los Picnic de Libros presenciales regresan al Koubek Center! October 23rd from 2 to 5 pm
El picnic de libros es un evento multidisciplinario, bilingüe y gratuito, que busca acercar a los niños a la literatura y las artes, a través de cuentos, poemas, manualidades, trabalenguas, adivinanzas, música y además, habrá cestas de picnic llenas de libros, para leer y disfrutar, que los niños podrán conservar.

El actor y cuentacuentos Venezolano Leonardo van Schermbeek.
Taller de manualidades de títeres impartido por la actriz Colombiana Danly Arango.
Espectáculos de acrobacia de la compañía local de circo Les Ailes du Desir Foundation.
Música del grupo Venezolano Los Wizzards.
