First Person: Authors Talk
Award-winning author Melissa Eskue Ousley is our guest for Octobers First Person: Authors Talk on October 15 at KALA. We hope youll join us for some Halloween horror as we explore the grim joys of the genre and other tidbits from this compelling writers life.
"A Constellation of Scars," a finalist in the 2021 International Book Awards, is Eskue Ousleys 6th novel. Her suspense novel, "Pitcher Plant" won a 2018 Independent Publisher Book Award. Her young adult novel, "Sunset Empire," debuted in a bestselling boxed set. Her short stories have been included in "Rain Magazine," "The North Coast Squid," and various anthologies. Eskue Ousley lives with her family, a neurotic dog, two charming cats, and a piranha on the Oregon Coast. When shes not writing, she can be found volunteering for her local wildlife center, caring for injured owls and hawks.
Show: 8pm. Doors open at 7:30pm. Tickets $15. Socially distanced table seating requires limited capacity for the venue. Vaccination cards, or proof of a 72 hour negative test required. Masks to be worn while moving about in the venue.
