About Dedi Felman: Dedi Felman has worked in publishing for over a decade. She began her career at Oxford University Press, where she became an executive editor in charge of the social sciences. She subsequently worked as a senior editor at Simon and Schuster and at Henry Holt/Times Books. Her authors have been shortlisted for the Booker prize, won the Bancroft Prize, the Windham-Campbell Literature Prize, and the Helen Bernstein Book Award for Excellence in Journalism prize. Titles she's developed have been New York Times bestsellers Naomi Wolf's Give Me Liberty: A Handbook for American Revolutionaries, The Facebook Effect: The Inside Story of the Company That Is Connecting the World, Mission Accomplished! Or, How We Won the War in Iraq: The Experts Speak, and Jonny Steinberg's Sizwe's Test Washington Post book of the year. She has taught at Columbia University and given talks and participated in panels on publishing at writers conferences' and book fairs, including BEA and the Frankfurt Book Fair. Felman is a recipient of the Jerusalem International Book Fair Fellowship. She is co-founder of Words without Borders, an online magazine for international literature, and a co-editor of two anthologies of international literature, The World through the Eyes of Writers (Random House) and Literature from the Axis of Evil (The New Press).
