Ron Coulter and Sid Star have toured nationally, as well as throughout Asia for the U.S. State Department and the U.S.O. Coulter was one of fourteen world playwrights invited to the United Nations and one of two invited back. For two decades, Ron and Sid taught college theatre and founded and operated the Myth and Magic Factory in Oakland, California.
Few ventriloquists risk the demands of character and plot-driven theatre, as in Jihad for Vent and Dummy, their latest work. Together, they have written, produced and/or directed hundreds of plays, entertainments, and theatre workshops titled the Poetry of Event. They direct the Dramateurs School of Drama in Oakland.
