Digital Portraits, from Click to Print -- Tom Meinhold
You will learn from a professional photographer, Tom Meinhold, how to take raw images of a live model using a digital camera and how to enhance them to achieve the desired printed result. This fascinating overview will address composition, studio and (weather permitting) outdoor lighting, and will demonstrate enhancing techniques that amateurs with digital cameras can use to take better pictures. Students who want to take their own pictures of the live model should bring their digital cameras and should possess basic understanding of how their cameras work.
Tom Meinhold, professional photographer, was born and raised in San Luis Obispo and is a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography at Santa Barbara. He established his studio locally - Tom Meinhold Photography - in 1990 where his love of photography is evident in everything from architectural and product photography to portraits, seniors, weddings, and most recently, photographing six different horseback trail rides a year.
Tom has created portraits of many local families, as well as some famous people such as former President George W. Bush, Alex Trebek, and one of William Randolph Hearst's great--granddaughters. He has previously taught the popular LLCC workshop, "Better Photos with the Camera You Have."
