Repast Baroque Ensemble: Fantasia, Brooklyn Performance
With lush instrumental works from the seventeenth century by Biber, Fontana, and Louis Couperin, to 18th century contrapuntal experiments by Bach and Telemann, Repast explores the improvisational spirit of the fantasia in this broad-ranging program. Works include a chamber ensemble arrangement of Bachs Fantasia and Fugue in A minor, BWV 904.
