Anchor Point + director Q&A
Anchor Point Thursday, October 7 at 7pm
Directed by Holly Tuckett Not Rated, 89min
The wildfires whipping across the Wests wild landscapes this year are leaving behind record-setting and devastating damage. On the frontlines are fearless, skilled and determined women who are fighting more than fire. Outnumbered by men, theyre battling a culture of discrimination and harassment that marginalizes their voices. "Anchor Point" is a story about the women leading the charge for change:
Women using their voices to call out inequality. Women speaking up about sexual harassment and assault. Women training to advance their skills and building a network of support. Women committed to making wildland firefighting better for the generations to come.
Come hear their stories at this special benefit screening hosted by Park City Film. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Women-in-Proscribed Fire Training Exchange scholarship fund to support skills development in female firefighters.
The film will be followed by a Q&A with director Holly Tuckett and other special guests, TBA. Part of the Made in Utah Film Series.
