NutcrackOr "Fritz's Dream" World Premiere
NutcrackOr 'World Premiere' is a full-length masterpiece is set in San Francisco's historic Castro neighborhood in 1977.  It focuses on young Fritz (played by Jerry Lin, 2013 SF Youth Winner) and Clara, who upon gazing into Harvey Milk's camera shop on Christmas Eve become inspired by his photos.  Later, in the ballet, their Uncle Drosselmeyer magically turns them into young adults and reunites them with their beloved Nutcracker Doll (played by Roberto Cisneros, formerly with The Met Ballet and Smuin Ballet).  Together, they travel to visit the inspiring individuals in Harvey's photos, including Melek Taus, the Male Peacock Angel of the Kurdish Minority (played by Deven Muhammad, 2013 Midwest Youth Winner); and Xochipilli, the Mayan Flower Goddess of gender-variance (played by Joshua Thake, formerly with Ballet Trockadero).

Guest Dancers will include Annie Henry (Dance Theater of San Francisco), Ashley Brown (Emote Dance Theater) and Leda Pennel (Labayan Dance).

The Cast in Act II ranges from the spectacular ballet dancers listed above to Hip-Hop sensations Charles Cao & Eva Borrego; making the cast 20 dancers strong!

This production will bring audiences a new insight to Tchaikovsky's traditional story.  Narrated by the now-grown Fritz, the Audience will learn of several LGBT people throughout the history of civilization and San Francisco. The will also learn how these people and Harvey Milk inspired harmony of all people!
