Where the Sidewalk Ends
We've Extended! Must close March 27th - Only 4 more performances added...
Running time is 2 hours
You grew up with the poems as a child, now see how they have grown with you as an adult. In an epic tale that follows the life journey of a boy named Shel from 7 to 70, we poignantly witness the heartache he endures and the relationships that shape him as he searches for that missing piece, which he hopes will complete him.
Along the way he meets Cloony the Clown, Sarah Cyinthia Sylvia Stout who wouldn't take the garbage out, and the haunting last child from Hamlin Town who didn't follow the Pied Piper. In a journey that takes him to the edge of the world to where the sidewalk ends, he discovers he never had to leave home in the first place to find what he always thought was missing.
Adapted from Where the Sidewalk Ends, A Light in the Attic, Falling Up, The Giving Tree, The Missing Piece, and The Missing Piece Meets the Big O this magical 2 hour play features puppets, live music, dynamic acting performances and acrobatics, and visually stunning imagery--all bringing Shel Silverstein's poems to life in a way that has never been imagined before.
***Note - There are different leveled tiers for seating. The higher the ticket price equates to a better seat in the house. Seats will be assigned at the box office.
***Performances are selling out - as they do, we are opening up additional seating which will include: backless stools, slightly obstructed seats, and an extra row of seats on the floor sitting on pillows.
***If a performance is completely sold out, we will offer 6 standing room tickets for $12 each.
