Scandia Rocks and Rolls; Fall Edition
Loved the wonderful scenery as we biked and the geological tutorials were great. Really enjoyed the ride hills and all!.
On Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, Cycling Scandia offers the Bike Tour Scandia Rocks and Rolls; Fall Edition. Dale Setterholm, U of M geologist, will take the riders on a 15-mile course through Scandia and Marine backroads with 5 stops for descriptions of interesting geological features. Informational guide packets will be available so cyclists can follow along. The fee is $24.00. Some geological sites are at the bottom of hills and some at the top so cyclists should be prepared for a few challenging hills. This is a no-drop ride for cyclists 18+. Helmets are mandatory and cyclists are responsible for their own equipment. Safety vests will be provided by Cycling Scandia. This event is non-refundable with a rain date which is Oct 3rd. The tour has two start times 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available immediately following the ride.
