Do you have a little performer? Please join us in developing and celebrating the creativity of children. Children and families will have the opportunity to participate in the open mic, enjoy performances by local adult and teen artists, engage in experimentation with instruments, dramatic play and art projects intended to build and maintain self-efficacy and self-esteem.
The Childrens Open Mic is a child-centered, family engagement event focusing on developing the creativity of children ages 2 -12 while providing teens with paid opportunities to write commissioned pieces, build their performance resume and step into a mentorship role. We seek to create a place for children to feel safe; where their voices and families are respected, honored and heard.
