Spanish For Travelers -- Joseph Carro
So you've decided to add some flair to your travels and visit a Spanish-speaking country. The sights, the sounds, the food, the local color....these are the things you're looking for. Unfortunately, you don't speak Spanish.
This can be a major handicap when you need to use the bathroom, for example. Though hopping up and down with a pained look on your face may convey this message, wouldn't it be better to be able to "ask" where the facilities are located?
Knowing how to order a meal, or a cold beer, or getting directions to the bus stop, train station, museum, or the hospital if necessary can make your trip more rewarding and enjoyable than you can imagine. And you'll find that locals tend to appreciate your meager efforts at trying to speak their language.
During this course , participants will learn basic Spanish phrases used in hotel, restaurants, and airports, common expressions about weather and locations, and how to ask for things.
Joseph Carro has an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and owned Comco Computers in Atascadero. He has taught multiple subjects, including accounting, Quickbooks, Italian, Spanish, computer usage, Microsoft Word, and income tax preparation.
