Inaugural Ball with Murder of Crows
While D.C. dignitaries, federal fat-cats, and other well-connected folk are dining on caviar and sipping champagne in celebration of the Inauguration of our Nations 44th President, Barack Obama and Vice President , Joe Biden, you can celebrate in style right here in Portland, Maine at the Empire Dine and Dance at 575 Congress Street.
Organized by Friends of HGHW, the event will begin at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 17th. Guests will kick up their heels to the great dance grooves of Murder of Crows, well into the night. This soiree might be formal, but it wont be stuffy. And at just $25 per ticket, the event is sure to sell out.
Attire for the event is listed as such: Dress nicely! Its a ball, for goodness sake! Indeed! How often do you can you find so many good reasons (a great gig, at a hot new venue, for a fantastic cause) to get gussied-up on a winter night in Maine? So, gentlemen, dust off those suits or tails, and ladies, put on your dancing shoes. This is a guaranteed night to be remembered!
HGHW Executive Director, Megan Williams said of the upcoming event, We are thrilled that our friends in the Portland area and the Empire Dine and Dance are partnering to host this great event and are giving proceeds to Hardy Girls. Its an exciting time in our nations history, and we hope everyone comes out to celebrate with us.
