The Tristan McIntosh Project
American Idol Finalist and multi-instrumentalist Tristan McIntosh performs with a full band. She has toured the country appearing as Linda Ronstadt with THE Linda Ronstadt Experience, performed with Darius Rucker at The Grand Olde Opry. Now shell be touring the US with her own act, performing her original songs and unique covers of R&B and pop standards to the Strand Theatre. Tristans unmistakable voice brings a power and intimacy that stretches all genres. Raw and deeply rooted, soulful, and vulnerable, the 21-year-old unapologetically wears her heart on her sleeve with insightful lyrics, haunting melodies, and magnetic performances. Tristans musical path was carved in stone, beginning at the age of four, with piano lessons. Her natural ability combined with her desire to learn quickly led to guitar and other instruments. The precocious child was so heavily influenced by her fathers 70s record collection, that it set the tone and direction for how she saw love, loss, and life. Exposure to icons like Bonnie Raitt, The Beatles, and Alicia Keys meant that Tristan never saw music as a cookie-cutter box, but rather an infinity pool with immeasurable depth. Moving to the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee with her military family at age eight, Tristan added country music to her repertoire, a genre she heavily covered during her American Idol appearances and for some time after. Most recently, her work as lead singer in the Linda Ronstadt Experience has not only pushed her vocal boundaries but given her a strong sense of direction when it comes to her sound and her career. And now, she is on the verge of sharing her message of heartbreak and healing with the world. Her first single, co-written with Producer Jamie Houston will be released in the next coming weeks. Packed with complex feelings wrapped up in colorful words paint pictures of hope through abandonment and growth from pain. The beauty of self-love and truth is unveiled throughout the hybrid of country, pop, R&B, and jazz. Through her music, Tristan creates meaningful conversations, turning strangers into friends, and building vital relationships that will continue to flourish for years to come.
