Drama After Dark

The 19th Annual Production of
"Drama After Dark: An Evening of the Macabre with Poe & Gorey"
Thrill to the tales of Edgar Allan Poe and Edward Gorey in an evening of chilling drama with a soupçon of comedy. Haunting works enacted by moonlight, candlelight, and torchlight, including "The Pit and the Pendulum," "The Tell Tale Heart," "Masque of the Red Death," and more.
With multiple pieces performed in various locations, each piece is performed multiple times throughout the evening. Performances are on the hour and half hour, so once the clock strikes, each performance starts on time and there will be no late seating. A performance schedule and map of the grounds will be sent to you before the night of the performance so you can strategize your course of action!

Ages 12 to adult. (May be too intense for younger children.)

Doors open at 5:30pm
First performances begin promptly at 6:30pm
and take place every 30 minutes!
(last performances at 10pm)
Please note:
1) Proof of FULL vaccination required (post two weeks). No exceptions.
---If you were vaccinated in CA, please register ahead of time at CA database https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/, then at the door you can show your CA photo ID, along with the QR code page that includes your name along with the date(s) of vaccination(s). We will refuse entry for anyone without proof of vaccination that matches their CA photo ID.
---If you were vaccinated outside of CA, please bring your vaccination card, along with your photo ID.
2) Masks required for EVERYONE at all times (except TALENT when they're on stage). No exceptions.
3) Any City Protocols that may exist at the time of the event for Covid-19, above and beyond the above, will also be followed as they apply to our performance date, as our performances will be taking place both indoors and outdoors.
Choose your own menu of Poe and Gorey delights from among the numerous pieces taking place throughout the St. James UMC campus grounds in Pasadena -- so many performance pieces to choose from!

We're allowing an hour for checking in, so please come early and enjoy our beautiful outdoor courtyard.
