The award-winning Gender Reveal podcast is recording LIVE in the Big Ol' Apple, baybee. Join us as host Tuck Woodstock chats with three fascinating guests about their work, their lives, and their advice for other trans people trying to figure to what the heck gender is.
This episode features author Denne Michele Norris, cartoonist Mattie Lubchansky, and organizer Mateo Guerrero-Tabares. More detailed bios are below.

Denne Michele Norris is a Black Trans writer and editor living in New York City. Her work has been supported by MacDowell, Tin House, VCCA, and the Kimbilio Center for African American Fiction, and appears in McSweeney's, American Short Fiction, and ZORA. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Electric Literature, co-hosts the critically acclaimed podcast Food 4 Thot, and is hard at work on her debut novel. Follow her on Twitter and IG @thedennemichele.
Mattie Lubchansky is the Associate Editor of the Nib and a cartoonist and illustrator living in Queens, NY. Their work has appeared in New York Magazine, VICE, Eater, Mad Magazine, Gothamist, The Toast, The Hairpin, Brooklyn Magazine, and their long-running webcomic Please Listen to Me. They are the co-author of Dad Magazine (Quirk, 2016) and the author of the Antifa Supersoldier Cookbook (Silver Sprocket, 2021). Their debut graphic novel, Boys Weekend, will be out from Pantheon Books in 2023.
Mateo Guerrero-Tabares is the TGNCIQ Lead Organizer at Make the Road NY, where he runs the Leadership School program, develops movement curriculum for liberation, and supports organizing spaces for the TGNCIQ community in Jackson Heights and Bushwick. Since migrating to the United States, Mateo has come out and embraced his identities as a transgender man of color and a queer immigrant, in order to organize and fight for immigrants, people who are in the sex trades, and TGNCIQ communities of color. Mateo focuses on intersectional politics that recognize the complexity of communities regarding race, class, gender, and age
Tuck Woodstock is a journalist and educator based in Portland, Oregon. They are the host of the Gender Reveal podcast and a cofounder of Sylveon Consulting.
