The War of the Worlds
Bloom Stage will present an experiential event and immersive theatrical production of The War of the World, the 1938 Orson Welles' radio script by Howard E. Koch in conjunction with the Tennessee STEAM Festival.
The Tennessee STEAM Festival aspires to build interest and excitement in Sciene Technoloy Engineering Arts and Math, while cultivating the next generation of citizens and advocates by leveraging local partnerships from across the region.
Attendees for The War of the Worlds will arrive to the event to a hands-on, experiential exhibit in regards to the science and history of radio and sound engineering, learn about the era of 1930s and radio dramas, and meet current pod-casters in our modern era of entertainment and information platforms. Then the staged production recreates the War of the Worlds broadcast before a live and participatory audience. This event will be recorded for later broadcast.
Come experience this fresh perspective on the HG Wells classic in a gorgeously refurbished 100 year old building, the Walnut House in downtown Historic Murfreesboro. Produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc. (www.playscripts.com)
