Drought Tolerant Perennials
As the drought continues to become more severe here in the Western US, California gardeners have increasingly embraced water-wise landscapes and fortunately, there are many beautiful plants from around the world that perform well in low-water systems.
We will discuss plants from Mediterranean and Desert ecosystems around the globe that perform well here in the Bay Area. Fall is the best time to plant these perennials so whether you're replacing a lawn or just filling in thirsty plants that didn't make it, now is a good time to design for both beauty and water conservation.
