Jules Rosskam & Madsen Minax: GHOST TRIP
Artist-In-Residence Jules Rosskam premieres a new collaboration with Madsen Minax, GHOST TRIP. A series of short videos features live musical accompaniment as both structured and improvisational responses to the visuals. Minax performs on a range of instruments incorporating percussion and electronics, and in a series of supplementary audio introductions teaches simple vocal parts to the audience, who facilitate the emergence of a makeshift chorus.

Jules Rosskam is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and activist attached to the endless, radical possibilities of visual communication rather than to the specificities of one medium. As such, his work currently includes film and video, installation, animation, performance, new media, and photography. His practice engages feminist and queer film methodologies, experimental narratives, hybrid-genres, and collaborative art practice as an extension of social justice movements. Rosskam is currently a visiting Assistant Professor of Film and Video Production at Hampshire College.
Madsen Minax is an artist working in film/video, sound/music and performance. Madsen frequently toured the United States as part of the music performance duet Actor Slash Model from 2006-2012, co-founded the Threat Level Queer Shorts bi-monthly screening series which ran from 2008-2010, and performed with The Homoticons from 2009-2011. His film and video works have earned awards from The Denver Underground Film Festival, Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, TranScreen Film Festival Amsterdam, Park City Music Film Festival, Chicago's Reeling LGBT Film Festival, The PAC/EDGE Performance Festival and others and have aired on PBS (2013), CBC (Canada) (2009) and FreeSpeech TV (2012). He is currently a Core Fellow at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
